– The download time imposed  has the effect of giving the affiliate an extra opportunity to make a sale. Although I agree with you that it may be sometimes annoying for the prospect, but it has proved to be very beneficial to the affiliate.

– You are quite right about the fact that the program owners are collecting the emails and that the affiliate has no access to them, but as explained it is intended to prevent the affiliate from spamming his prospects, which would be disastrous to the integrity of the program. However, there is a way around that, as most affiliate marketers do nowadays, it is to send the prospect first to a capture page before being redirected to the ebook download page.

– And finally, as you say, it is a great side business, but I would add that it is in fact a fantastic lead magnet.

The wait before downloading an eBook should be lowered to at least 30 seconds. Because either way, one’s links are included in the book.

I don’t like the part where they keep the email addresses though. One should be allowed to keep them since it is their efforts that got them in the first place.

I recommend that one has this as a side business, just in case business shuts down.

Thanks for your comment on my review on the Auto Affiliate Program LouAnn. Yes the drawback is that they get to keep the contacts emails. They affirm that they use them for followup and to promote other products on our behalf using our ID number. Of course, there is no way to prove that, but I personally know Steven Hall (the owner of the program) for many year and I can swear on his honesty and integrity. Knowing that this was a drawback in his system Steven has recently introduced a way for his affiliates to run their own autoresponder.

Thanks for your comment Furkan. A huge number of followers is not always necessary. It depends on the program you are promoting. However, 100 real and active followers is much better than 1,000 followers with a percentage of 60% fake and/or inactive followers. You could have just 100 very active followers and know how to write a compelling advert with the right #tags and make a killing.
