Thanks very much for reading my tutorial carefully Trevor, and for taking the time to comment. My most productive free ebook that I share is the "One Signup A Day" tutorial which can either be downloaded or read online. It is loaded with many free tools such as an autoresponder, a popup creator, capture pages, etc... and all for free. So this is something worth getting for yourself first, and offered as a lead magnet it works extremely well.

I have been searching for some practical email marketing advice, I am (genuinely) so grateful for the advice that you have provided here. These seem to me to be great suggestions, “capture page, p*p-up, social media contest, free ebook seem like great ideas. I love the example you have given from Uber. The idea of contests is also an innovative idea. How do you yourself avoid being targeted by junk mail in your "capture" or, that your own mail ends up in automatic junk mail boxes? Which capture page, pop up or free e-book plugins or programmes do you suggest? I think an e-book would be ideal for me to adopt so I would really appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks for sharing your plans for the future regarding your email marketing Carmen. The sooner you start with building up your mailing list the better, 65 subscribers is already a very good start.

Bear in mind though that when you start with an autoresponder it is always a problem when you decide to change as your subscribers will have to accept the move, it is where you will lose a lot of them. So, the sooner you makeup your mind the better.

In my 19 years of marketing online I have tried them all and if I may suggest the one I have settled for, which to me is the most reliable, easiest to use, and cheapest in the long run, it is TrafficWave.

Thanks for posting. I want to start email marketing and your post has illuminated me. I have about 65 subscribers. I got them naturally. They subscribed after reading my posts. Do you think I can start email marketing? I also have the SendinBlue plug-in and received a 15 pound vaucher to post their advertisement on linkedin.
