From my study self motivation is, in its simplest form, the force that drives you to do things. The ability to motivate yourself self motivation is an important skill. Self motivation drives people to keep going even in the face of set-backs, to take up opportunities, and to show commitment to what they want to achieve.

Why is self motivation important? Because otherwise you won’t want to get out of bed in the morning. But when you are motivated to do so because you really want to or can’t wait to get out there and do what you like to do, it all becomes a lot easier. We should all be reading, listening and watching different motivational books/videos/audio programs on a daily basis so that we can deal with problems and stay in a healthy mindset. Motivation isn’t permanent, you don’t just do it once and it’s done. It’s just like a shower, you need to do it daily.
