Indeed, the word count is as important as well as the chosen keywords. Google will hardly look at a website with content of less than 1,000 words, 1,000 to 2,000 words is the norm, more than 2,000 is even better.

Of course a lot of more things helps an article to rank, such as the quality of the content, its relevancy, the presentation, etc. I use a great application for guiding me in producing high quality content which is called Yoast SEO, if you are using WordPress, it is available as a plugin.

I had no idea about SEO before. I used to write anything I wanted on my blog and obviously, I wasn’t getting any traffic. Then, I realized there was something wrong. That’s how I found out about SEO.

But, I would like to know, is word count important when you write an article?
