From passion to a business, is certainly everyone’s dream: to do what you love doing the most while creating a stream of income. As I have been doing this for years, I have decided to share here the five major things that you have to look for and act upon in order to succeed and achieve your dreams. So, here are my 5 tips to turn your passion into a source of income.

If we wanted to be cynical, we could say that a passion gives pleasure, but it takes everything else off you: your time, your money, and your ability to focus on anything else.
Surely, but above all, having a passion is to have a huge opportunity.
It is very buoyant:
- we take pleasure and suddenly,
- we invest our self in a total and natural way.
This is why many people are tempted to try to live by their passions, to work on a project in which they flourish fully. It may seem as tempting as risky, so here are some tips to get you started.
1. Using your talents and passion, look for a concept to develop
First of all, identify your qualities and interests to build an original project.
It is obviously important to have fun doing something, but if you want to make money with your passion, this alone cannot be enough. Without wanting to be the dream breaker, you really need to ask yourself clearly about your abilities; and whether you have the talent to break through to the point where you can make money; or if your passion just needs to stay like something you that you like to do.
Think about making a list of your interests, talents and passions, to see if some of them can be combined. This can be very useful and will allow you to build around your passion and your abilities a concept that is unique to you, and that can stand out for its originality.
The more strings you have on your bow to showcase and sell, the easier it will be to turn your passion into a source of income.
2. Do some research to determine what makes money in the field you have chosen
Before you start, find out about the people who have succeeded in your passion.
You have to do your own little investigation. Look at the people who come to live with this passion; find out how they did it; their backgrounds; the assets that allowed them to succeed; the weaknesses that put them in difficulty.
Try to target their strengths to inspire you, but also their mistakes, so that you can avoid them. The goal is not to follow them step by step, but to map the paths you can walk and those that are inaccessible to you. This will allow you to determine the direction in which you must start moving forward.
3. Evaluate the market you will be launching and the opportunities it offers you
Decide how to sell your products or services:
Now you need to determine how you are going to sell the fruit of your passion. Depending on the sector you have chosen and the opportunities available to you; around your home or on the Internet. You can choose to focus on selling online, opening a shop, working in markets, fairs or exhibitions. Determine what would be best for selling your products or your concept.
A large group of sellers can be good, but be careful not to set up in overcrowded markets. If the offer is too big, it drowns the demand.

4. Take classes or work with a mentor
Working with a mentor can help you be more competitive.
In order to maximize your chances of making money from your passion, you cannot be “just right“. You have to have talents that distinguish you from your competitors. The best way to do this is to strengthen your skills by rubbing shoulders with professionals; and learn how to turn your passion into a thriving business; or get yourself a mentor who can give you tips to improve or diversify your skills.
5. Be present and active on the Internet
Being present and active on the Internet is essential to become known and turn a passion into a profitable source of income.
No matter how you sell your product, you must be on the Internet and active on social networks. The Internet is a real hen with golden eggs for young entrepreneurs, provided they know how to use it.
You absolutely need a website or a WordPress account (which is often easier to create than a website); that you particularly care about and which must be updated very often. It’s actually your itinerant resume, the showcase of your work. It is also essential to be present on social networks, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn. This multiplies your chances of expanding your network, and therefore to make yourself known.

Warning: many people do not like to sell, they think that they can focus on their passion and the sale will follow. However, it must be understood that this is an integral part of your work. At the beginning, it will even be the essence of your work.
You cannot, and you must not, avoid it. To seek to make of your passion a source of income is to launch yourself on the marketplace, and thus to obey the rules. You have to worry about your image and your network, since this is what allows you to sell more or less well. And so to live or not of your passion!
