How To Build A WordPress Website In Less Than 30 Seconds (Video To Prove It)

How To Build A WordPress Website

I know that my affirmation sounds a bit exaggerated, but I will show how to build a WordPress website in less than 30 seconds, and I have a video to prove it!  However in this short article I will explain how it can be done.

I will even show you how I did it, and how you can do it too, on a step by step video!

To begin with, what is WordPress and why choose it?

Let me share with you a little bit of my online experience as a website builder. Back when I started with my online business (already 16 years ago now), building a website was highly technical. You virtually had to be a programmer, you had to master Photoshop, and needed a decent computer with some expensive software, and still would come up some crappy websites.

Surely, I used to create some of the ugliest looking websites (in retrospect), but they still were very profitable, so it worked out perfectly. I even remember building the most ugly website on purpose, and guess what?.. It was one of my most profitable of all.

How To Build A WordPress WebsiteThen along came WordPress, an open-source framework with a community of millions of people, and something like 10,000’s of developers. It is by far the most popular and powerful framework for building websites, however, WordPress by itself still needs web hosting, FTP, a database and some basic technical know-how to install.

It is definitely the best platform, but could at times be a little tricky to install. Even experienced online marketers and webmasters, who very well know how to build a WordPress website, can sometimes have a hard time installing WordPress websites. And then…

…Along came WordPress Express!

Although I have been working with websites, including WordPress for many years, I know how to build a WordPress website manually and install it, but it is not something I really enjoy doing.

Then back in 2010, Wealthy Affiliate came up with a website builder and released it within Wealthy Affiliate. They called WordPress Express. It is most likely the most efficient, techie free way to build a website that I have ever used and, in fact, I have conceived this website with it, and did it in less than 30 seconds.

All the technical stuff has been removed!

There is NONE of the following to worry about anymore…

  • FTP’ing files
  • Setting up databases
  • Worrying about DNS or Domain Registrars
  • HTML or PHP
  • Photoshoping
  • Expensive programs to buy
Now, what about this 30 second thing and how can you build your own website?

Well, I have a real, concrete proof that I can do it and that YOU too can accomplish this as well. Just click on the video below and watch me walk you through the S.I.M.P.L.E. process of installing a WordPress website from start to finish.

  1. I name it
  2. I choose my theme
  3. And I install it

Just watch how I do it and you will understand!..How To Build A WordPress Website

    Hello John
Thanks for sharing a well written and well-explained post on building a WordPress website.
I’m surprised it only takes 30 seconds(as you say)I`ve wanted to have a blog for a very long time, to share my thoughts with friends and the world but always felt building a website is reserved for computer techies, something I`m not.
Now you mention that if I want to build a website with Wealthy Affiliate then it`s free, but I`m sure there is alway a catch, what`s the catch here?
Another thing I`d like to ask, if I build a website, work on it for some time then decide to leave Wealthy Affiliate what will happen to my website?
    Thanks for your answer

Thanks for your good questions Roamy. Yes, 30 seconds sound a bit exaggerated, but it can be done with practice. I have tried it myself, not quite made it is 30 seconds as Kyle shows us on the video but I was pretty close.

Long gone are the days when you had to be a techie to create your own blog and thanks to WordPress anyone can do so on a state of the art platform, with a choice of hundreds of beautiful free themes and plugins, like a pro.

The advantage of building your WordPress blog through Wealthy Affiliate is that you will learn how to create a smashing blog like a pro, how to research for keywords, you will have access to all the help that you may need, etc., plus you can have 2 websites or blogs hosted for FREE. If one day you wish to leave Wealthy Affiliate, you can, because your blogs or websites belong to you, you will then have to buy your own domain names and transfer them, but then, you will also have to pay for hosting, so why would you want to do that?

I hope to have answered your questions and if you have anymore, I would be happy to give you the answers, if I can, otherwise perhaps some of my readers will.

Best wishes of success with your future blogs.

    Hey there,

I was thinking that I needed to learn how to code in HTML in order to build a website.

But now I see it is very easy to do it. One question though, do I get to keep this website I will build for lfe? And can I can I take it out if the siterubix platform to other domains?

Please help me understand this. Thanks.

Thanks for your comment and good questions Dave. You do not need to know the HTML coding anymore. I did learn it a little bit as it still helped a few years back. I sometimes use what I still remember of it, to take shortcuts at times.

When you build your website on SiteRubix, you own it for life (as long as you are subscribed to SiteRubix of course). If you decide to move it to your own domain name, you will need to buy the domain name and move it to it and you will have to buy web hosting space, which can be quite expensive. But if you join Wealthy Affiliate and upgrade to PRO, you will be entitled to have 25 own domains + 25 free domains.

I hope to have answered your questions clearly, and if you have any more, please post them here and me or someone will help you as soon as possible.

      Best wishes,

      John ツ

Absolutely great article very informative very encouraging. I would definitely fall into the low income bracket. As a matter of fact I would almost fall into the no income bracket at this point. I have been trying relentlessly to open up my own businesses. And it seems like everything that I put my hands too becomes a failure. I’ll be at I’m not going to stop. I work to encourage myself in to build something long-lasting. So thank you for this article I really appreciate it.

      Hi Michelle,

I see that you are taking inspiration from my blog article and I am very pleased and grateful. It makes me feel good when I see a regular reader on my website, thanks very much.

You seem to be unhappy with how your business(es) are going. Are you running brick and mortar businesses? Have you thought of doing business online? There are some excellent online opportunities and one that I highly recommend is Wealthy Affiliate. You can earn as you learn when joining for free, and they have what I think is the best training I have come across. It could be what you are really looking for.

Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to seeing you again soon, but with a larger smile on your face.

John, I have worked with wordpress for years and have always found trying to install wordpress for my clients a very daunting task. All of the steps that one requires in order to FTP, upload files, configure settings can be a massive letdown for someone desiring to start a blog for the first time.

Thank you for recommending the free resource, it looks like a great deal! I do have one question if you don’t mind, once someone creates their wordpress blog using the free wealthy affiliate tool, is it easy to configure the blog design even if someone doesn’t know anything about designing a website?

Thanks for your comments and question Maria. Some years back I created many websites on WordPress, but I was getting nowhere as far as monetising them was concerned, and as you say, I became totally lost when it came to FTP and uploading files. I gave up the battle. But it remained in my mind that it was the only part of my online experience that I have failed and have given up (which is definitely not in my genes).

Wealthy Affiliate often came through me as I was asked to promote this opportunity for clients on social media, then one day I decided to research this company and was attracted by the fact that their excellent training was based on creating websites on WordPress platforms. So I decided to give it a go and I was amazed by how everything was so well explained and easily understandable for any level.

I finally had he last piece of my puzzle.

So, yes, I highly recommend  Wealthy Affiliate to anyone who wants to create a website or blog.

I look forward to seeing you around Maria, and if you have any other questions, please ask them here and I will make sure that you have a response within 24 hours.

      Best wishes,
